On Wednesday September 16th, at 4:00 pm, our co-founder and CEO, Selin Kurnaz will be participating in this year’s B. PHL Innovation Fest. The virtual-hybrid event is described as a “3-day series of workshops, meetups, and curated experiences” that highlight the innovation by many organizations in Philadelphia. Last year’s event included 460 speakers and more than 4,500 attendees with Hospital, Healthcare, and Non-Profits being the among the top three participating industries. For the events featured speakers, this year includes recognizable names such as Pitbull and Nick Offerman to help bring international awareness to the Innovation Fest. The virtual festival was started last year by B. PHL, who is supported by Independence Blue Cross.
In the “Lightning Talk Series: Diagnosis: Innovation — From Cancer, to Advancements in Cancer Care” Selin Kurnaz will be joined by Dana Donefree of AnaOno and Sue Weldon of Unite for HER. The three CEO’s will be discussing their “cancer care innovations born from personal experience” and how they are being used to help cancer patients with treatment, enrich their well-being, and complementary therapies. The lightning session will feature how each woman has created positive and impactful change from a cancer diagnosis. The discussion between the three innovators will be roughly an hour in length and begins at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 16th.
