On June 27, 2017, a member of the Massive Bio Team, Belisario A. Arango, M.D., took part of the Cancer Moonshot Project and the Biden Cancer Initiative Meeting in Washington, D.C. The meeting was hosted by Kim Thiboldeaux, CEO of Cancer Support Community and a member of the Board of Directors of the Biden Cancer Initiative. The purpose of this meeting was to update the cancer community on the accomplishments over the past year, since the announcement of the Moonshot challenge, and to discuss the goals that are expected to be reached over the next 4 years.
The Cancer Moonshot Project has laid the tremendous challenge of ending cancer as a disease as we know it. The Moonshot challenges the cancer care community to accelerate and implement advances in cancer care over the course of 5 years, that would have otherwise taken 10 years to accomplish.
The message was clear. The Cancer Moonshot Project is alive and well. The Biden Cancer Initiative is an energizing force behind the Moonshot challenge. Massive Bio is committed to bringing state-of-the-art precision cancer care. Massive Bio shares the vision of the Cancer Moonshot Project and we believe that with the use of technology we can deliver expeditated care to patients with cancer. Massive Bio can reduce both time and cost of cancer care with significant improvements in cancer outcomes.
