SEEK Color is a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) accountability initiative that encourages cancer care clinicians to pursue education and resources to help them better serve their patients of color. SEEK Color offers a certificate program aimed at ending inequalities in cancer care.
Beginning in May, SEEK Color will present a series of monthly workshops (except in November) throughout 2023. In order to receive a certificate, participants must attend at least three workshops within the calendar year. Additionally, clinicians who complete the certification will be shown on a searchable map so patients will know who has invested in DE&I training.
Workshops will provide:
- Insight on the latest advancements in care, covering specific cases that represent treatment for people of color
- Resources that benefit patients – financial assistance programs, new clinical trials, advocacy initiatives
- A platform to discuss actionable steps that can be taken to end disparities in cancer care
- Diversity and inclusion training resources that can help identify ways to remove barriers in practice
- A patient and advocacy panel highlighting lived experiences
You can register for this certificate program free of charge on the SEEK Color website.
